Dorothy Gilbert
Dorothy's poetry has appeared in The New Yorker, The Nation, The Iowa Review, Southern Lights: PEN South Anthology, The Port Townsend Journal, Fantasy and Science Fiction, and other journals. She translates poetry from medieval French and English and from our neighbor planet Musaeus.  Her verse translations of two Old French lais of Marie de France appeared in the January 2007 Third Edition of The Norton Anthology of Literataure by Women. She taught many years in the English Department at California State University, East Bay before her retirement in 2004, and now teaches in the Fall Program for Freshmen at the University of California, Berkeley. She has also worked for PEN for over 16 years.
