Cathy Barber is a graduate student in English at CSU Hayward with an emphasis in creative writing. She has been published in Occam's Razor and the Bay Guardian and has placed in both the Robert V. Williams Memorial contest and the English Department's essay contest. She hopes never to be the type of mother described in "Love Song."
