Mary Ganz ("Urban Park at New Year") is a poet and free-lance troublemaker whose work has appeared in Syllogism and Itsyncast. She draws poetic inspiration from social justice work, her decades-long career as a newspaper journalist, and her childhood spent part-time in South Carolina. She lives in Oakland, CA, with her life partner, their teenage daughter, and their cat and dog.
