Sara McAulay ("Colors"), teaches writing at CSUH. She is the author of three novels and numerous works of short fiction and creative nonfiction, and has been the recipient of NEA and New Jersey State Council on the Arts Fellowships in fiction. A self-styled computer geek who studied art before she turned to writing, she is interested in hypertext, and in the relationship between text and graphics. In her old age she has taken up welding, and spends much of her time hanging around salvage yards looking for bargains in scrap steel to use in her found- object (okay, "junk") sculptures. Unless otherwise attributed, the graphics in TH2000 are hers.
